Personal Story

DSC_7373a (2)As the youngest child of a family of six children (my twin brother was 8 minutes older), I strived early on to move towards unique and adventurous paths. Growing up, I do not recall having a “dream” of being in a specific career, although I was intrigued by others who truly seemed to love what they did.

It was not until university that I discovered by chance my passion for the field of human resources. Everything about the uncertainty and vastness of the area intrigued me. Upon graduating, I seemed to lose this intensity, my only goal became finding a job. Then everything fell into place! I was offered my first position in human resources and the rest is history as the saying goes.

Working in many private and public sector organizations across Canada, I experienced re-organizations and many job losses. As a Human Resources professional, I never thought it would happen to me!  I can still recall the day, like it was yesterday when I was advised my position was no longer required. Interesting though, with one door closed, another door opened. Within three months, I was working again and the most exciting part was I was well on my way to becoming a coach.

From these experiences, I consider myself to be fortunate that I lived much of what my present clients face every day. Now my mission is truly to facilitate authentic career discovery.

What sets me apart from others?

First and foremost I am proud to say I am an accredited coach and have gone through a credentialing with the International Coach Federation. Also, I have targeted training in career coaching providing me with valuable resources to use with my clients. This coupled with my human resources expertise knowledge and growth I have encountered from my real-life experiences, I am well equipped as a coach and mentor in leading transformational career growth.

My services and programs are designed for each individual. My process does follow a creative path of Explore, Engage and Enrich.

  • Explore is the Self-awareness stage. This is the time to ask: Who am I? What are my values? What am I meant to do?
  • Engage is the Resourceful stage. There will be much to research and do!
  • Enrich is the Realization stage.  Doing what you love.

Let’s get started – the world is waiting for you!
